How To/ DIY Remove Carpet Tack Strip

Old tools can be recycled for a new use with just a little modification.
Today’s example: a pry bar too badly damaged for everyday use works perfectly
to remove carpet tack strips. Since there seem to be few how-to videos on the
efficient removal of carpet tack strips I thought this solution would work
on those occasions the tack strips must go in order to refurbish the floor.
As always, this is not a tutorial, but a demonstration for educational purposes.
If you are inexperienced with this kind of work consult a local carpet
technician before you try this yourself.

  1. Makes it easy when you have the right tool for the job! Good demo, simple and easy for anyone to follow.

Many thanks James Mason! To remove tack strips is a rare request for me so I was surprised at the lack of equipment and information on the internet. This technique seems to be a good solution as it leaves the floor undamaged for a thorough resurface job.
